We first heard from Lisa and Ross in June of 2008:

"Ross and I met at your April 2007 Speed Dating event at the Distillery. It was my second time and his first. When all the men took their seats I was his first 'date'. It actually turns out that we had 'met' a year earlier at his work but I just couldn't place him, I just had this feeling that I had met him before. Well, perhaps that intrigued him, but he e-mailed me a few days later and the rest, as they say, 'is history'. We got engaged just a few weeks shy of our first anniversary and will marry this September 2008. I can't thank you enough for helping bring us together and for finding my wonderful guy, I am the luckiest girl in the world! I was never really into the 'alternate' methods of dating, I always thought I would meet someone through a friend or share a romantic glance from across the room. Fast forward to 2009...

"We wanted to have a small and intimate wedding and decided on Canmore. We had just immediate family (11 guests) plus our photographer (a student colleague from work studying photography) and a wonderful piper named Kim. The day was a little overcast with a slight mountain chill in the air but considering it was the end of September, we were very blessed. I walked down this long winding path to meet up with my waiting fiancé next to a large rock. We said our vows while being encircled by our family members up on a small hill. I never thought I would get married and had pretty much resigned myself to that fact but thanks to a very persistent friend and 25dates.com I am happily married and can't imagine my life without my husband. He is the light of my life and I don't even want to think of where I would be today had I not taken the plunge and gone to The Distillery that night back in April 2007. You really have nothing to lose and EVERYTHING to gain.
